Overview

 

Located in Amsterdam and part of the regional Supply Chain organization, in this position, you will be supporting the Alnylam Customer Operations team with daily Customer orders and Distribution activity to ensure the supply of medicinal products to customers in the EMEA region to Alnylam’s customers. In this role, you will gain experience in the pharmaceutical industry. This role can serve as a steppingstone to a more senior position as a Customer Operations Specialist.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for continuously monitoring and managing the customer operations inbox on behalf of the team and prioritize O2C and distribution-related activities according to customer need
  • Facilitate new customer setup and master data maintenance process
  • Participate in Customer Operations and various other team meetings with relevant expertise areas 
  • Responsible for supporting the Customer Operations team with daily customer order and distribution activities, service issues and requests
  • Manage customer orders for Alnylam Affiliates and third-party distributors, oversee operations to Alnylam markets, and report progress to the Customer Operations team
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to Order to Cash and Customer Distribution processes (e.g., SOX, GDP, SOP’s)
  • Act as liaison between Affiliates and Order to Cash operations and support creation and maintenance of enhanced customer-related services and activities
  • Provide forward-looking solutions to effectively resolve customer support-related issues; think in solutions and take initiative
  • Responsible for executing various SAP S4HANA transactions and administration of finished drug product inbound database

  • Ability to analyze and identify relationships between various topics
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Fluent in English and/or another European language (both verbal and written)
  • Customer-focused and possessing a high level of integrity, open and transparent.
  • Organized, ability to multitask, open-minded, works accurately with attention to detail
  • Enjoys working in an international team, and the ability to work in a multicultural and fast-changing business environment
  • Have a “can-do” attitude
  • A positive outlook on dealing with important customers and driven by a great sensibility for Customer satisfaction
  • Eager to learn new skills and build experience in the biotech industry
  • Robust knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel. Smartsheet experience is a plus
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams in an international environment
