Revenue Accounting Manager

Summary of Key Responsibilities
As the Revenue Accounting Manager, you will join a high performing and highly motivated finance team, with the primary responsibility of our Ex-US revenue recognition. You will be part of a team in Amsterdam and work with various internal and external groups requiring excellent cross-functional teamwork.
In this role, you will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of our external product sales in over 20 countries, requiring posting various manual journal entries, reconciling and assessing our GTN accruals, and performing our SOX controls.
A strong understanding of US GAAP and internal/external reporting is required, as well as experience in SAP. You will be a key team member and critical in our timely internal and external reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active member of our international accounting and reporting team, with the responsibility of making sure our business operations and Ex-US product sales are accurately reported under US GAAP.
- You must be highly motivated and excited about being part of a high performing and energetic team, with a focus on the Company’s core values and patient first mindset.
- Record journal entries during and at month end close.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts relating to product revenue sales.
- Understand the technical ASC 606 guidance and apply this regularly in your daily role.
- Work closely with the various commercial and market access teams and understand our pricing strategies and agreements for all products in each market.
- Maintain our GTN models and accounting estimates based on the specific pricing agreements in each market for each drug product.
- Work with senior leadership, both within Finance and outside of finance, on reporting our Gross-to-Net (“GTN”) accounting adjustments and changes in our pricing models.
- Preparer of our SOX controls for various key processes.
- Work closely with our 3PL and confirm that all reported from the 3PL is complete and accurate.
- Perform month end close procedures and account reconciliation, while preparing the Blackline and Auditboard tasks.
- Support the Group and local statutory audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (Masters preferred) degree in Accounting and US C.P.A. certification (or equivalent)
- Proven leadership experience in public accounting (Big 4) and private industry (preferred), with a minimum of 7 years of accumulated experience
- SAP experience required
- Strong written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills
- Detail-oriented and strong business analytical skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong technical skills including US GAAP and SEC reporting plus
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Strong command of English language (verbal and written)
