Associate Director, Sales Team Coach & Sales Force Excellence Lead UK & Ireland

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will spend the majority of your time in-field coaching, to facilitate and optimize the capabilities of our Alnylam field team. You will also work closely with our International Training and Sales Force Effectiveness Leads to provide learning solutions and data analytics to deliver continued improvement in both Field Force training programmes and Key Account Management.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Commercial Training Manager / Sales Coach
- Support the Sales Team with regular in-field visits and coaching, aligned to Alnylam’s specific customer engagement framework
- Work with individuals within sales team on their individual development plans and areas of both competency strength and development
- Work with the Sales Director and International Training Lead to develop and implement a local Sales Team training plan
- Lead on any local training materials development and approval through internal systems (Veeva promo mats)
- Carry out analysis and support the optimization of all performance metrics provided to the Sales Team
- Use field coaching outputs and contact with the Sales and Marketing Leads to identify additional training and development needs and tailor specific solutions
- Work with Sales Director and International Training Lead to ensure onboarding, product training and processes are aligned for both new and existing UK & Ireland employees
- Partner with Sales Director, Marketing and Medical in the design of new training programs and training initiatives
Qualifications
- Experience as a Key Account Manager and ideally a sales manager in the Pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrable experience in performance coaching and in field coaching
- Strong academic track record including minimum Bachelor’s degree
- Prior Training experience preferred, but not mandatory
- Experience of sales training and leading Initial Training Courses
- At least 5 years Commercial experience within Pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent presentation & facilitation skills
- Proven track record of collaboration with leadership to contribute to outstanding field force achievement
- Strong understanding of therapeutic areas along with willingness to develop in-depth expertise
- Highly proficient user of MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
