Summary of Key Responsibilities

This CRM Product Manager will report to the Senior Director of Strategic Technologies and will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction, development, and optimization of our customer relationship management (CRM) platform. Success will require partnering with key stakeholders to ensure our systems and practices support Alnylam's overall Business and IT Strategy. In this role, you will drive business and technology enablement for functions supported by the Commercial and Medical organizations.

  • Own Product Management responsibilities for all Veeva Commercial and Medical systems including: Veeva CRM, Network with Open Data, Vault, Align, Promo Mats, and Med Comms. As the CRM Product Manager, you will be responsible for the roadmap and vision for enabling these solutions within the organization.
  • Set the vision and strategic direction for CRM for Commercial and Medical, by clearly articulating the business case of a given initiative or feature and then connecting back to product vision and goals.
  • Partner with Commercial and Medical business stakeholders to understand their processes, assist with their technology challenges, and help them be more effective.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical requirements. Prepare business requirements, integrated applications strategy, solution design documents and test plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver Veeva solutions that meet business needs. Partner with the IT Capabilities Management and Technology shared services teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and security.
  • Implement and manage systems that support the Commercial and Medical organizations.
  • Prioritize projects and system enhancements with business stakeholders, articulating business impact and fitting solutions, delivered timely and within budget. Clearly communicate project milestones and status to members of the project team and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ or more years of Veeva CRM and Vault Admin experience, supporting the Commercial and Medical organizations of a pharma or biotech company.
  • Experience with both Business Analyst and System Administrative roles (with competency in SDLC, specifically in comprehensive needs analysis, user requirements development, analytical thinking, and development).
  • Capable of effectively leading and executing small to medium complexity projects to completion using project management methodologies.
  • Effective vendor and MSP management experience
  • Able to develop process maps, visualize as-is and to-be processes, and propose creative solutions to business needs.
  • Experience or familiarity with development of strategic plans and long-range roadmaps.
  • A solid understanding of commercial data and analytics, as well as digital strategy.
  • Ability to work with matrixed and global teams.
