Overview

Reporting to the Senior Director, U.S. Channel Distribution, Alnylam seeks an experienced and focused individual to leverage data, perform analytics, and act with a strategic mind-set in all aspects of optimizing the distribution strategies to provide optimal access for all patients.

This individual is crucial in analyzing Specialty Distributor and Specialty Pharmacy contractual metrics and data feeds and will successfully collaborate with the customer-facing Channel Distribution team to help optimize patient engagements and provide analytical insights for current products as well as future launches. This Associate Director will also partner collaboratively with US Market Access leads, Patient Support Services leads, Channel Account Management, Data Management, IT, and other key cross-functional internal business partners to assure alignment of corporate initiatives.

This strategic contributor will have the opportunity to solve problems, present recommendations to leadership, and drive new innovative projects which will have an impact on the future direction of the company.   Key Responsibilities

  • Lead analytics to examine the profitability and performance of channel contracts
  • Drive the development and maintenance of technology systems, dashboards and reports designed to inform leadership of channel performance and inform decision-making process
  • Manage the business ownership of data aggregator – fosters relationship with data aggregator, owns and negotiates the master service agreement and statements of work, collaborates between data aggregator and internal parties on data services, primary point of contact for check-in calls and all data aggregator business
  • Subject matter expert of channel partner data – provides guidance to internal cross-functional teams on use of the data
  • Contributes to data reporting negotiations in channel partner agreements – recommends channel partner/patient data fields for optimal business decisions
  • Supports channel partner data governance and stewardship in collaboration with IT Data Management, Strategic Technologies, and Business Intelligence
  • Provides routine and ad-hoc analytics to support the development of key business insights for various Market Access teams
  • Liaisons with channel partner data contacts - in collaboration with data aggregator - to ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and completeness
  • Provides input into the strategic and tactical planning for all channel activities, utilizing trading partner and market expertise
  • Internal liaison with IT, Business Intelligence, Strategic Technologies, Advanced Analytics, Patient Services, Strategic Accounts, Field Operations teams on supporting channel data funneling through other data dashboards
  • Implements and manages Channel dashboards (patient, channel partner, KPIs, QBR performance)
  • Fosters strong working relationships with leaders in Market Access (including US Channel Distribution), Legal, Regulatory, Finance, and other appropriate functions
  • Ensures compliance with all corporate policies and industry codes in collaboration with Alnylam Legal, Regulatory and Compliance
  • Enhances knowledge of current industry trends and anticipates future changes

 

Required Qualifications

  • Pharmaceutical/biotech experience required
  • Minimum of 10 years industry experience, including contract analysis, contract negotiations, health economics, data analysis, KPI management
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Strong leader with proven abilities to influence and create cross-functional alignment
  • Demonstrated ability to assimilate and present complex information to higher level management and contribute to high-level discussions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-profile environment
  • Strong collaboration skills with the demonstrated ability to gather key stakeholder feedback and gain leadership alignment
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to produce board-ready presentation material
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skill
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree/Education in a related discipline, MBA / MHA preferred
  • Industry experience in Specialty Products
  • Buy and Bill experience recommended
