Associate Director, Content Enablement Platforms
Cambridge, MA, US, 02142
Overview
The Associate Director, Content Enablement Platforms is responsible for the day-to-day execution, stability, and operational reliability of Alnylam’s web and content enablement platforms. This role focuses on hands-on implementation, quality assurance, and issue resolution to ensure content is delivered accurately, compliantly, and on time across global markets.
Working closely with the Director of Global Content Enablement Platforms, IT partners, Marketing Operations, and external agencies, this role translates governance and standards into reliable execution. While execution may focus on priority markets, the role operates with a global mindset, supporting publishing workflows and frameworks designed for reuse across regions outside the United States.
Through 2026, the emphasis will be on operational execution, platform monitoring, troubleshooting, and enabling scalable publishing practices without assuming technical ownership, which remains with IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and support day-to-day CMS publishing activities, including content updates, page builds, workflow execution, and release support.
- Monitor platform health, publishing queues, and execution timelines; identify and resolve issues before they impact markets.
- Perform and coordinate QA activities, including functional checks, accessibility validation, metadata accuracy, and content integrity.
- Troubleshoot publishing and workflow issues in partnership with agencies and IT, clearly distinguishing execution issues from technical defects.
- Apply and reinforce publishing governance standards related to templates, metadata, tagging, accessibility, and approved workflows.
- Partner closely with Marketing Operations, who own the DAM platform, to support integration between DAM and CMS workflows and enable effective asset reuse across markets.
- Work directly with agencies and managed-service partners to ensure adherence to Alnylam tools, standards, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Support onboarding and enablement of regional teams by providing practical guidance, documentation, and best practices for publishing execution.
- Identify recurring execution challenges and propose pragmatic improvements that increase reliability and scalability across global markets.

- IT / Strategic Technology: Coordination on releases, incident response, and validation without assuming technical ownership.
