Overview 

The Associate Director MedEd Marketing, KOL Education will lead national strategy and execution for HCP education and peer-to-peer engagement across the TTR franchise. This individual will lead the development of scalable, innovative, and high-impact initiatives that support brand goals, close educational gaps, and elevate AMVUTTRA’s presence across key stakeholder groups. This role requires a visionary, cross-functional leader who can drive strategic alignment across the organization, lead enterprise-wide initiatives, and serve as an internal champion for HCP education. 

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Medical Education the Associate Director will lead the planning and execution of peer-to-peer HCP education initiatives, including speaker bureau, congress presence, and related content development. This role will collaborate cross functionally and with marketing and medical partners to ensure educational efforts are scientifically accurate, compliant, and aligned with brand strategy. This position is based in Cambridge, MA with travel up to ~20% for congresses, KOL engagements, and internal planning meetings. 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Peer-to-Peer Education & Speaker Bureau: Lead end-to-end strategy and execution of speaker bureau programs, including speaker identification and selection, training, content development, and ongoing performance optimization.
  • Educational Content Development: Oversee creation, approval, and lifecycle management of speaker decks, educational toolkits, and HCP-facing materials to ensure scientific accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand strategy.
  • Congresses & Educational Presence: Define and execute congress education strategy, including symposia, product theaters, booth content, and congress sponsorships; ensure compliant development and seamless onsite execution.
  • Media & Digital Education: Drive strategy and execution of HCP-focused media initiatives, including digital education platforms and video content to expand reach and engagement.
  • HCP Video Content (Recorded HCP Education): Lead development of recorded HCP video content, including identification of speakers, content planning, recording, and deployment for broader educational reach.
  • Field Team Content & Engagement: Develop and execute KOL-led education and training sessions for field teams to support internal clinical expertise and reinforce key messaging.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Medical, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and field teams to ensure all educational initiatives meet regulatory standards and strategic objectives.
  • Performance Tracking & Optimization: Establish metrics to evaluate effectiveness of educational programs; continuously refine strategy based on insights and performance data.
  • Vendor & Agency Management: Oversee external partners supporting content development, logistics, and execution across educational initiatives.
  • Therapeutic Area Expertise: Maintain deep understanding of disease area, HCP learning needs, and evolving industry best practices to inform education strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in life sciences or marketing strongly preferred. 
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech marketing, healthcare consulting, or healthcare agency with a focus on HCP engagement, medical education, or peer-to-peer strategy preferred. 
  • Ability to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment by managing competing and complex priorities and engaging with cross-functional partners to ensure goals are met efficiently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrate a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality across all deliverables, communications, and project components.
  • Deep understanding of compliance requirements and experience in highly regulated environments. 

U.S. Pay Range

$161,500.00 - $218,500.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
