Overview

Join the Alnylam Commercial Data and Analytics team and help build a product-driven engine that turns data-driven insights into deployed decisions with measurable business impact. As part of Customer Experience and Innovation, you will work cross-functionally with technical and business partners to accelerate commercial outcomes by standardizing what we build, how we build it, and how we deliver it through the tools and workflows business users rely on every day.

As Associate Director, Platform Product Management, you will contribute to prioritized Value Teams across the commercial organization: Business Performance & Drivers, Customer & Account Growth, Omnichannel & Media Optimization, Patient Pull-Through & Outcomes, and Evaluation & Learning. Value Teams collaborate fluidly to deliver and manage decision products that enable specific business outcomes, driving competitive foresight and actioning for the commercial organization through predictive and prescriptive analytics.

In this role, you will bring product thinking to the insight surfaces and self-serve experiences that deliver decision products into daily workflows. You will translate analytic intent into clear product requirements and coordinated delivery, ensuring platforms are trusted, usable, and adopted at scale. You will work within and across multiple Value Teams, balancing a shared platform roadmap with value-team priorities and release commitments.

The position will be based in Cambridge, MA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within and across multiple Value Teams, aligning to transparent priorities and delivering platform capabilities that scale across franchises and markets.
  • Own platform product strategy and roadmap for insight surfaces and self-serve experiences, sequencing releases to maximize business impact, adoption, and usability.
  • Develop and manage a product requirements document for each platform product and major feature, including problem statement, target users, user stories, functional requirements, nonfunctional requirements, success metrics, rollout plan, and enablement plan.
  • Translate analytic requirements into decision-ready user experiences, including workflows, UX requirements, acceptance criteria, and feedback mechanisms that support continuous improvement.
  • Own backlog management and delivery execution, including sprint planning, prioritization tradeoffs, dependency management, and release coordination with engineering and analytics partners.
  • Partner with Advanced Analytics to ensure products are framed correctly, adoption is planned, and impact measurement is designed and executed.
  • Partner with AI and ML Engineering and Data Stewardship to ensure platform integration uses governed data and metrics and supports reliability and refresh expectations.
  • Use AI tooling to increase efficiency and throughput for discovery, requirements drafting, and communication; operate in agile delivery rhythms using Jira and maintain comfort with GitHub-based version control for documentation, configuration, and lightweight technical artifacts.

 

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 9 plus years in product management, UX research, analytics product management, or a related role delivering enterprise platforms, ideally in healthcare or life sciences.
  • Strong product management capability, including discovery, prioritization, roadmap ownership, agile delivery, and stakeholder management across multiple Value Teams.
  • Ability to translate analytics and technical constraints into crisp user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable product outcomes.
  • Familiarity with modern custom app architectures and rapid analytics UI frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js, Streamlit) as well as enterprise dashboarding platforms (e.g., Power BI, Sigma, Tableau), with the ability to translate user needs and platform constraints into clear requirements and delivery tradeoffs
  • Experience producing and maintaining product requirements documents and managing product inventories across a portfolio.
  • Experience using AI tooling to improve throughput and quality in discovery, drafting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to align leaders and teams around tradeoffs, timelines, and adoption plans.
  • Experience working in Jira and collaborating using git-based version control in GitHub.

U.S. Pay Range

$165,800.00 - $224,200.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
