Overview
The Associate Director, Talent Acquisition Programs & Operations is responsible for designing, owning and evolving the core programs and infrastructure that shape hiring across Alnylam. This includes end-to-end ownership of global TA programs, spanning candidate experience, interview and assessment practices, hiring team enablement, emerging talent, and extended workforce.
This hands-on leadership role ensures programs are not only well-designed but consistently executed and continuously improved and a tremendous opportunity for someone who can operate at both a detailed and systems level—keeping things moving while identifying practical ways to simplify and scale. They will ensure the recruiting infrastructure is highly performing, tech-enabled, and scalable.
This is a hybrid role based in Cambridge, MA with 2 days/week onsite.
Key Responsibilities
TA Program Strategy & Execution
- Own and evolve Alnylam’s core TA programs, including candidate experience, structured interviewing and assessment, hiring manager and hiring team enablement, and emerging talent.
- Translate hiring strategy into scalable and repeatable programs that drive consistency and quality across regions and functions.
- Partner with TA, HRBPs and business leaders to identify gaps and continuously refine programs based on feedback and outcomes.
- Drive adoption and accountability for programs across TA Partners, coordinators and hiring teams.
Candidate Experience & Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of Candidate Experience Coordinators responsible for interview scheduling and candidate logistics.
- Set clear service expectations, SLAs, and quality standards) to ensure efficient, consistent, and accountable delivery.
- Ensure a high-quality, consistent candidate experience across all touchpoints.
- Partner with TA leadership and HR Ops to identify friction points in the candidate journey and build scalable, tech-enabled solutions.
TA Systems & Process Ownership (Global)
- Enable TA programs through effective systems and workflows; own end-to-end TA operations: requisition creation through to onboarding.
- Own day-to-day administration and optimization of the ATS (Greenhouse).
- Maintain workflows, templates, interview stages, and system configurations.
- Serve as primary point of contact for system support and enhancements.
- Partner with HRIS/Itto ensure integrations, updates, and data flows support program insights and execution.
- Identify and implement practical process improvements to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Stay ahead of industry advancements in recruiting and translate innovations into practical deployments that reduce recruiter load and increase quality of hire.
Training & Enablement
- Design and deliver enablement programs for recruiters, coordinators, hiring managers and interview teams focused on tools, best practices, structured interviewing, and AI-enhanced workflows.
- Maintain and evolve TA playbooks, toolkits, and resources to support consistent program adoption.
- Embed new tools, technologies , and AI capabilities into enablement programs to drive adoption.
- Evolve onboarding and training materials for new TA team members.
Vendor & Program Management
- Manage key TA vendor relationships (e.g., background checks, tools, agencies).
- Oversee background check process and ensure timely, compliant execution.
- Lead Emerging Talent Programs, guiding Program Manager to continuously elevate and strategically evolve our program offerings and process.
- Lead oversight of global non-employee (contractor) hiring processes and partnerships, optimize as compliant, talent-driven programs.
Employer Brand
- Drive design and execution of employer branding efforts in partnership with Corporate Communications team.
- Ensure consistency in candidate-facing materials and communication.
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, TA Operations, or HR Operations
- Strong hands-on experience with ATS administration (Greenhouse preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a fast-paced environment; exceptionally organized and detailed orientated
- Passion for continuous improvement, emerging tech, and operational integrity
- Experience leading recruiting operations teams, preferably in public, regulated environments
- Exceptional cross-functional project leadership and systems thinking ability
- Proven ability to improve processes and drive operational consistency
- Exposure to AI ethics, explainability, and fairness in automated decision systems
- Experience working with data and reporting

U.S. Pay Range
$157,300.00 - $212,700.00
The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
