Overview

 

Our RNAi Lead Development team is seeking a motivated Associate Scientist II to join our interdisciplinary team, whose mission is pre-clinical evaluation of siRNA-based therapeutics and advancement of our clinical stage pipeline 

 

The successful candidate will support RNA sequencing core function and expand next generation sequencing based assay pipeline.

 

This position is onsite and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.  

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support various transcriptomics studies via bulk, small RNA , long read , single cell , spatial and other platforms.
  • Execute day to day operations for RNASeq sample preparation, including: RNA isolation, library preparation, QC and sequencing.
  • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of NGS equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain samples and oversee logistics of data generation and collection. 
  • Prepare protocol and data reports.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and participate in the continuing development and optimization of existing and new protocols and technologies.
  • Train and assist additional personnel as needed.
  • Adapt to the changing platform needs, in workflow, projects and other tasks as required by the platform.

 

Qualifications

 

  • BS in a biological science.
  • At least 1+ years of  hands-on laboratory experience in NGS and/or molecular biology are required.
  • Experience with laboratory automation including liquid handling systems such as Beckman Coulter or other systems desired.
  • Experience with a broad range of lab techniques, including cell culture, cell based assays, assay development and/or bioinformatics would be a plus.

The candidate should be intensely detail oriented, highly motivated team player, have excellent time management skills and a desire to drive innovation.

U.S. Pay Range

$67,600.00 - $101,400.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
