Overview

 

The Director, Commercial Planning & Strategic Initiatives will support company vision/goals and execution in the TTR franchise. 

The TTR franchise includes ONPATTRO (for hATTR-PN), AMVUTTRA (for hATTR-PN & ATTR-CM), Nucresiran (a development stage program, being studied in both hATTR-PN & ATTR-CM), and other relevant franchise lifecycle programs.

The Director, Commercial Planning & Strategic Initiatives is a high performing, driven, curious/learning agile, highly collaborative and humble individual, with strong planning and executive communication skills.

This role will report to the SVP, TTR Franchise Global Commercialization Lead, will work closely other members of the Global TTR disease area team.

This position is onsite / hybrid onsite and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Commercial Planning

  • Work closely with various Commercial business units and and medical affairs to ensure alignment of strategies with overall TTR objectives, and to advance TTR-related strategic initiatives
  • Support annual strategic planning and long range forecasting
  • Integrate insights from different functional areas to author/consolidate a cohesive global strategic plan
  • Address conflicts to facilitate informed decision-making through maintaining objectivity, influencing others, and leveraging data & insights
  • Develop MBR/QBR content and dissemination of follow up actions

 

Strategic Initiatives

  • Proactively assess data, intelligence reports and financial information to identify business trends and opportunities to identify “pivotal” GTM shifts that may be required to realize LRP strategies (i.e., those that may require new enterprise capabilities or significant shifts in resourcing)
  • Drives strategic initiatives by in identifying areas of opportunity to ensure delivery against financial and business goals
  • Oversee ad hoc business initiatives from development through successful execution
  • Drive the governance and management of key initiatives including execution and tracking of impact
  • Provide support to the Global AMVUTTRA brand team and/or Global Nucresiran brand team on priority commercial initiatives where additional support required

 

 Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS degree required; business degree strongly preferred with strategy/consulting experience.
  • 7+ years of varied biopharmaceutical or related experience, including global/international matrix team responsibilities, with a focus on marketing, strategic planning, or product management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to articulate program vision and motivate the team; communicates in an open, direct and timely manner; ensures broader organization is aligned with and aware of the program strategy, status and risks.
  • Collaborative and can flex when needed and pursues data-driven decisions
  • Deep understanding of cardiomyopathy, transthyretin amyloidosis, specialty diseases, or similar therapeutic areas
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, market analysis, and translating complex data into actionable insights and strategies
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects, demonstrating strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Prior involvement in launching pharmaceutical products and managing their lifecycle
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment in the pharmaceutical industry, especially as it relates to marketing and commercial activities
  • Skills in budgeting and financial management to oversee commercial planning activities and ensure they align with the company's financial goals
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions, address complex challenges, and devise innovative solutions in a dynamic industry

U.S. Pay Range

$208,300.00 - $281,800.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
