Overview 

 

The Director, People Experience Operations & Transformation serves as a strategic advisor and operational partner to the VP, People Experience. This leader will shape and drive the transformation of our HR service delivery model, enabling a modern, scalable, and employee‑centric approach.

 

This role is responsible for designing and optimizing business processes, advancing technology and AI‑enabled solutions, improving the employee experience, and ensuring effective, sustainable change management across the organization. The Director will influence cross‑functional partners, streamline complexity, and champion operational excellence while elevating how employees experience People programs and services.

 

This is a hybrid position and will primarily be based in Cambridge, MA.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the design and implementation of a tiered HR service delivery model and optimize HR processes for efficiency and improved employee experience.
  • Assess and streamline People Experience processes, creating scalable and automated workflows using continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Develop and execute change management strategies, partnering with Communications and coaching leaders to support adoption.
  • Partner with IT, HRIS, and technology teams to enhance systems, enable AIdriven automation, and ensure seamless HR service experiences.
  • Simplify complex HR processes into intuitive experiences and establish mechanisms to measure and improve employee experience quality.
  • Lead crossfunctional initiatives across People Experience, HRBPs, COEs, IT, Finance, and Communications, and manage a strategic roadmap of priorities.

 

Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years of experience in HR operations, HR transformation, shared services, or related roles. Ideally with a background in HR transformation consulting (internal or external).
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience, required.
  • Experience implementing and/or operating within a tiered HR service delivery model.
  • Proven ability to lead largescale transformation and organizational change efforts.
  • Strong HR process and workflow expertise across the employee lifecycle.
  • Experience partnering with IT/HRIS on system implementation, optimization, or automation.
  • Strong consulting skills, including structured problem solving, executive presence, analytical rigor, and stakeholder influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complexity and design exceptional user experiences.
  • Familiarity with HR technology ecosystems such as Workday, ServiceNow HRSD, or SuccessFactors, preferred.
  • Experience utilizing and driving adoption of AI/automation tools in HR, preferred.
  • Experience or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, ProSci, or Design Thinking, preferred.

U.S. Pay Range

$191,300.00 - $258,700.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
