The Director, U.S. Commercial Technology will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the technology strategy for our U.S. Commercial organization, ensuring that our systems, data, and digital capabilities enable commercial excellence and support our mission.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technology leader and business partner for the U.S. Commercial organization, building strong relationships with commercial leadership and stakeholders to understand business objectives, priorities, and technology needs.
- Develop deep expertise in U.S. Commercial business objectives and processes, proactively identifying opportunities where technology can support and enhance key business goals.
- Lead the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of commercial technology platforms (e.g., CRM, data management, omnichannel engagement, analytics), ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Drive the adoption of the IT operating model within the U.S. Commercial team, emphasizing centralized governance, in-house leadership, and seamless integration with enterprise IT and business partners.
- Oversee the lifecycle of commercial technology solutions, including requirements gathering, vendor management, implementation, and ongoing support, with a focus on optimizing processes, data quality, and user experience.
- Establish and enforce technology governance, standards, and best practices for the U.S. Commercial organization, including data privacy, security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with U.S. Commercial teams (Sales, Market Access, Operations, Marketing and Patient Services) and cross-functional teams (Regulatory, Data & AI, IT Strategy and Operations, Security & Compliance) to ensure technology solutions support end-to-end commercial processes and enterprise-wide integration.
- Provide system training to business and technical colleagues; collaborate with the Training & Learning Development team to develop training materials and programs.
- Support and guide the Application Support teams (e.g., Veeva CRM support), and optimize the allocation of responsibilities across internal and external teams.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and address functional gaps in system setups.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and third-party applications to enhance system functionality and business value.
- Use root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills to resolve functional and technical issues.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technology issues impacting the U.S. Commercial organization.
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field, with specialized knowledge in clinical development and analytics.
- Proven business analysis skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective prioritization and project management skills.
- Significant experience in CRM, sales intelligence, sales force effectiveness, business analysis, or business analytics in regulated industries, such as healthcare or biopharma.
- Experience supporting commercial functions in the U.S. market; knowledge of U.S. healthcare and commercial landscape preferred.
- Knowledge of a range of commercial business systems and tools.
- Strong team player with the ability to maintain effective relationships at all levels.
- Ability to anticipate, understand, and address changing business and departmental needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Leadership and/or supervisory experience.
U.S. Pay Range
$187,400.00 - $253,600.00
The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
