Overview

 

The R&D organization at Alnylam is seeking an Intern to join the Advanced In Vitro Models team, focused on developing human cell based systems to support therapeutic discovery. We are looking for a student interested in gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative research environment and learning how in vitro models are used to study disease and evaluate new therapies.

As part of a multidisciplinary team of scientists, the intern will support laboratory projects involving human cell culture, stem cell derived models (2D and 3D), and basic molecular biology techniques. The candidate will gain exposure to modern approaches used in drug discovery while assisting with day-to-day laboratory activities and experimental workflows.

The ideal candidate is curious, enthusiastic about scientific discovery, and eager to learn new skills while contributing to a collaborative and innovative research environment.

 

Learning Outcomes

1. Gain hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques.

2. Learn how human cell based models are used in biomedical research and therapeutic discovery.

3. Develop skills in experimental documentation, data organization, and collaborative lab work.

 

Qualifications

· Current undergraduate, with laboratory experience in chemistry or biology field

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a team environment.

· Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

· At least 18 years of age prior to scheduled start date

U.S. Pay Range

$23-$28/hr
