Overview
The Manager, Clinical Portfolio Services, Business Operations serves as a strong crossfunctional partner for financial and resourcing planning needs for Clinical Operations, as well as direct support for Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) work order and contract modification processes. This role works closely with the Director, Clinical Portfolio Services, Business Operations and key stakeholders to follow tight financial
controls and is responsible for reporting, analytics, project management, and coordination required to drive the business to efficient and effective financial and
resource management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- In partnership with FP&A and Suppliers and Study Management, ensure accurate, transparent, and timely financial analyses to support Clinical Operations accruals; clearly articulate financial implications from variances between forecast and actuals and provide retrospective analysis as well as drive forward actions for key business stakeholders. Supports Clinical Development Expertise Areas as needed
- Support Clinical Operations budget, forecast and long-term planning.
- Complete all required variance analyses for projects. Identify risks in the project forecast and opportunities to improve revenue outlook. Communicate, document and manage these on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for review of transparency reporting provided by CRO to ensure alignment with operation plan for study.
- Develop and deliver training to support effective financial management processes throughout the Clinical Operations organization. Supports Clinical Development Expertise Areas as needed.
- Manage Purchase Orders (including entry and approval routing) and Change Orders for Clinical Trials
- Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain a focus on value-add services relating to resource planning and financial planning.

Qualifications
- BA/ BS in Operations, Science, Finance or Data Science required.
- 5 years of progressive R&D Business Operations, Sourcing, or Finance/Resourcing roles, with strong analytical and partnering track record.
- Strong experience in Pharma/CRO/Biotech, specifically with pricing models, supplier contracts and internal budget planning
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data manipulation) and PowerPoint (leadership presentations)
- Demonstrated experience with Ariba, SAP, or other financial software is not required, but preferred
U.S. Pay Range
$120,700.00 - $163,300.00
The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
