Overview
The Manager, Nonclinical Data Management, reporting into Nonclinical Writing, will have the opportunity to be part of a growing organization collaborating with Research & Early Development teams. This individual will be responsible for streamlining data management processes, working with cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement effective tools and solutions to ensure data integrity and support the full lifecycle of nonclinical records. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
This position is onsite and will be primarily located at Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operational tasks such as data and account management, help requests, and other support tasks
- Support business initiatives, identify trends, and recommend best practices and workflows to ensure scalability and growth
- Act as a liaison between business units, IT, and senior leadership to advocate for and execute data governance policies and priorities
- Regularly review and update data management lifecycle policies to ensure they remain relevant and compliant with data governance policies and regulatory requirements
- Support data quality standards, such as accuracy, completeness, and consistency as well as guidance on metadata (tags)
- Maintain electronic data capture, management, and tracking systems. Maintenance includes, but is not limited to, migration, cleansing, and monitoring of current systems, onboarding and setting up of physical archiving system (Gigatrak)
- Oversee onsite/offsite archives
- Resolve data quality issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Interact with all levels of employees in response to data needs including correspondence, documentation, requirements, and workflows
- Foster a culture of data responsibility and awareness through training programs and workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline is preferred
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience with scientific or technical environment, with a focus on record retention and document life cycle management or related fields
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a business administrator/lead for electronic document management systems and/or SharePoint
- Familiarity with electronic data capture and management systems (electronic laboratory notebooks, Pristima/Provantis, SEND Explorer) is a plus
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Smartsheet a plus
- Experience with the implementation and use of laboratory information management systems and/or electronic data capture
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects and adapt quickly to new processes, systems, and organizational changes
- Knowledge of Health Agency Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Regulations (FDA, OECD, and ICH) guidelines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a matrixed, cross-functional environment, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to build effective partnerships across departments and levels
- Ability to problem solve, identify inefficiencies, and escalate issues appropriately in a timely fashion
- Ability to implement processes
- Detail oriented and experienced with review and quality control of nonclinical study data and records
U.S. Pay Range
$119,000.00 - $161,000.00
The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
