Overview

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Manager, Patient Recruitment to join a dynamic team. This role will be key in the strategic development and execution of patient recruitment and retention (PRR) efforts across multiple global programs.

 

The primary role is leading the development and execution of a patient focused patient recruitment and retention global strategic program.   

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develops and executes innovative global patient recruitment and retention strategies, including branding, patient and healthcare professional awareness, social and digital outreach and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives
  • Lead initiatives to establish data driven tactics to ensure successful patient recruitment enrollment and retention and site/patient engagement throughout the duration of the clinical trial
  • Partners with internal and external key stakeholders (Clinical Operations, Patient Advocacy, Clinical Trial Transparency and Data Sharing, and CRO) to enhance the patient journey from initial contact to study completion
  • Manages the development and implementation of global patient and site engagement plans
  • Collaborates with cross-functional internal teams to bring the patient voice into clinical trial designs and patient-facing materials, including identification of potential barriers to recruitment and retention
  • Leads the identification, selection and oversight of the recruitment and retention vendors
  • Mentors junior level staff
  • Ability to present and travel to global and regional team meetings, site visits, conferences, and Investigator Meetings

Qualifications

 

  • This is a Cambridge, MA hybrid-preferred position but may be remote by exception
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required with a minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry; experience working at Sponsor or CRO preferred
  • Experience in developing global patient recruitment and retention strategies and program implementation at a sponsor, CRO, or patient recruitment agency
  • Experience providing oversight of CROs/vendors and managing budgets and timelines
  • Comprehensive regulatory knowledge, including ICH and GCPs
  • Knowledge of global clinical trial management in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with rare disease / difficult to recruit populations a plus
