Overview

 

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to join our dynamic team in the United States, focusing on the Transthyretin (TTR) Cardiomyopathy indication. This pivotal role will drive the strategy and execution of comprehensive medical plans in the US, leveraging deep expertise in cardiology, especially within the TTR Cardiomyopathy space. The ideal candidate will serve as the organization's expert, ensuring the seamless execution of plans through our field medical team and collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to advance patient care and support healthcare professionals in the management of TTR Cardiomyopathy.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic medical affairs plans for the TTR Cardiomyopathy indication in the US, ensuring alignment with global strategies.
  • Serve as the primary medical expert on TTR Cardiomyopathy within the organization, providing guidance and insights to various cross functional teams.
  • Ensure the execution of strategic plans through the field medical organization, facilitating knowledge exchange and supporting healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with clinical development teams to inform and support clinical trials and research initiatives related to TTR Cardiomyopathy.
  • Engage with key opinion leaders, patient advocacy groups, and professional societies to foster relationships and enhance the understanding of TTR Cardiomyopathy management.
  • Oversee the development and dissemination of medical and scientific information, including publications, educational materials, and presentations at scientific conferences.
  • Monitor and analyze scientific literature, competitive intelligence, and regulatory developments in the field of cardiology, particularly TTR Cardiomyopathy, to inform strategic direction and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and professional guidelines in the conduct of medical affairs activities.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) with strong preference for candidates with specialization in cardiology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the cardiology therapeutic area, with preferred experience in the TTR Cardiomyopathy space.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including experience in field medical roles and strategy development.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute medical strategies and effectively communicate complex scientific information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a field medical team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of clinical research, drug development processes, and regulatory environments.
  • Ability to travel as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
