Overview

We are seeking an experienced Regional Business Director (RBD) to support the promotion of OXLUMO® (lumasiran) for Primary Hyperoxaluria Type 1 and GIVLAARI® (givosiran) for Acute Hepatic Porphyria. This is an exceptional opportunity to build a meaningful legacy of support for patients, caregivers, and the PH1 and AHP communities.

The RBD will lead and develop a high-performing team of Business Account Executives (BAEs), driving disease awareness and product education among healthcare professionals. In addition to coaching and performance management, the RBD will provide market insights to inform commercial strategy, champion a customer-oriented culture, and foster a team environment grounded in accountability and excellence.

The position reports to the Head of Rare Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing BAE team focused on disease awareness and product education across PH1 and AHP patient communities.
  • Apply strong sales management, strategic planning, financial acumen, and analytical capabilities to align field execution with broader commercial strategy.
  • Proactively analyze market dynamics and develop forward-looking action plans; clearly communicate market context and proposed direction to both leadership and the field team.
  • Coach team members to meet and exceed performance targets, with an emphasis on compliance, business planning, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Leverage deep market knowledge to provide insights that shape and refine commercial strategy.
  • Build best-in class team culture by attracting, developing, and retaining top sales talent.
  • Cultivate a customer-oriented culture that prioritizes patient needs, value-added services, and seamless execution.
  • Allocate and manage regional resources to support strategic and operational excellence.
  • Align people, processes, and communication systems effectively across a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Inspire and motivate the team by clearly articulating strategy, vision, and future objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; science focus is strongly preferred. MBA or PhD is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience leading commercial teams; 7+ years in sales, marketing, commercial operations, or account management within biotech, medical device, or specialty pharma.
  • Rare/orphan disease experience preferred.
  • Proven experience training and managing BAEs across multiple specialties and working cross-functionally across sales, marketing, market access, and patient services.
  • In-depth reimbursement knowledge of Buy/Bill and Part B & D, including experience with in-house patient support services and site-of-care development.
  • Strong familiarity with hospital/institutional environments and the P&T committee process.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a matrixed organization across multiple teams and functions.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity in all aspects of work.
  • Valid driver's license required; regional travel approximately 60–70%.

U.S. Pay Range

$204,000.00 - $276,000.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
