Overview
The Revenue Accounting Manager is part of an accounting team responsible for global oversight of and accounting for collaboration revenue, royalties and milestones. This team is also responsible for commercial revenue accounting for the Americas region, including the US, Canada and Latin America. Reporting to Associate Director, Revenue Accounting, the position will require extensive and effective collaboration with multiple Finance functions and cross-functional teams. Working in a fast-growing company that now has four commercial products and two additional products managed by our partners, this position gives the individual the opportunity to help us scale our Finance team to support future products.
This is a hybrid position and will primarily be based in Cambridge, MA.
Responsibilities
- Maintain revenue models for our active collaboration agreements.
- Partner with TOQ and R&D FP&A, Alliances, and Business Development teams, to prepare deliverables for external parties, such as monthly or quarterly outlooks and activity reports.
- Maintain the quarterly milestone tracker to account for inbound and outbound milestones with partners.
- Prepare invoices to ensure timely billing under collaboration agreements, and coordinate with collaboration partners to establish and support their payment processes to facilitate timely cash collection
- Liaise with Accounts Payable to prepare payment requests and ensure timely payments to external partners.
- Execute the monthly product revenue close for Canada and Latin America, including preparing monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis for revenue, gross to net (GTN), and accounts receivable, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to US GAAP. This also includes oversight of external 3PLs as applicable.
- Support the Revenue Accounting Team on other areas of the close and special projects, as needed.
- Support the Revenue Accounting Team to ensure complete and accurate documentation in accordance with US GAAP and to maintain an effective internal control environment, including the completion of monthly reconciliations in Blackline and SOX control documentation in AuditBoard.
- Support the external reporting process, coordinating with the External Reporting Team to ensure timely delivery of key inputs.
- Support the technical accounting team in the assessment of new partnerships including, preparation of technical memos and operationalizing of the accounting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of progressive experience in an accounting environment; public accounting experience and CPA preferred
- Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
- Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and competing priorities
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and all levels of management

U.S. Pay Range
$117,300.00 - $158,700.00
The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
