Overview 

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Corporate Brand and Creative, the Sr. Digital Manager will have the opportunity to be part of a growing team developing digital, social media and brand communications for an innovative global biopharmaceutical company. From concept through execution, the Sr. Digital Manager will help develop strategies and content that bring our corporate brand and key messages to lifeacross our websites, social media channels, advertising and other touchpoints.  Corporate Brand and Creative sits within a high-performing, high-energy, fun and collaborative Investor Relations & Corporate Communications (IRCC) team.

  • Be responsible for managing creative and technical delivery of digital and non-digital projects
  • Work on external and internal communications
  • Define KPIs and lead measurement and analysis for web, SEO and select paid tactics
  • Ensure that Alnylam’s websites are optimized for search, reflective of the changes being brought on by AI
  • Colllaborate with a cross-functional group of Alnylam stakeholders globally
  • Ensure steady progress and timely delivery with the highest standards for creativity and quality
  • Be a steward of the Alnylam Corporate Brand, brand guidenlines and standards
  • Function as a liaison and ambassador of the Investor Relations and Corporate Communications team with other Expertise Areas (EAs) within Alnylam

The ideal candidate will have previoulsy worked in a fast-paced corporate communications or agency environment and embrace the opportunity to be part of a growing biopharma at an exciting point in its history.  They will have experience managing website updates and content development, developing social media editorial calendars and sourcing and creating social content, both written and multimedia, as well as with non-digital media. They will possess the creativity, flexibility and the project management capabilities necessary to play a central role in the development of a broad variety of corporate and internal content.

This position is hybrid and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Sr. Director to identify digital and creative needs, manage resources (both internal and external) and prioroitize work overseen by and within the Corporate Brand and Creative Team
  • Manage master Website Design/Development & Creative Project calendars
  • Oversee ongoing updates to large and growing ecosystem of company websites working with other EAs, country managers/leads, country agencies and our global Corporate digital agency of record
  • Drive measurement and analysis for Alnylam’s corporate website ecosystem, defining KPIs, analyzing data and producing reporting; coordinate with other members of the IRCC team to produce omnichannel reporting and continue to enhance Alnylam’s approach to measurement overall
  • Manage Alnylam’s SEO strategy across Alnylam’s corporate websites, working with the digital agency of record to ensure sites are optimized for search; understand the evolving landscape of SEO including the impact of AI on search results, web design and web optimization
  • Liase with other EAs across the organization to identity digital and creative project needs, initate projects and track/manage overall progress toward project completion
  • Write project briefs for agencies and creative vendors
  • Produce dashboards and measurement reports for website and search engine optimization performance and work with agencies to coordinate and review/refine individualized reports/reporting
  • Project manage creative projects from inception to completion including but not limited to:
    • Videos
    • Photo Shoots
    • Animations
    • Illustrations
    • Virtual and Live Events
  • Light design work including editing of photos (using Photoshop) and video (using Adobe Premier)
  • Manage SOWs, POs and Invoicing as well as IP tracking and reconciliation working with the Sr. Director

Qualifications

  • PR/Marketing/Communications/Journalism degree/background preferred with 5+ years proven work experience in-house  or at an agency with prior experience in digital marketing and/or website management and creating and managing social media
  • Experience in pharma/biotech, medical devices, diagnostics or healthcare required
  • Experience managing logistically complex production projects including video shoots, photo shoots, virtual and live events
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Drupal and Wordpress is preferred
  • Deep knowledge of website analytics, including measurement, analysis, benchmarking and campaign measurement as well as development of reporting is required; proficinency with Google Analytics 4 is preferred
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies, tactics and technologies is required
  • Basic proficiency in HTML is preferred
  • Proficient and compelling writer with the ability to target content to applicable audiences
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Fantastic internal and external communication/people skills with an emphasis on the ability to work productively across timezones and cultures
  • Resourceful and proactive with the ability to troubleshoot and set priorities
  • Willingness to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, and team-oriented environment
