Overview

 

The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for executing and supporting strategic recruiting initiatives that enable Alnylam to attract and hire high-quality talent across business units. This role partners closely with Business Leaders and HR Business partners to align hiring efforts with organizational priorities and acts as a trusted advisor and thought partner on complex talent challenges. In addition to managing requisitions, the Senior Manager will support projects and drive innovation in how we attract and engage talent. The role also plays a key part in enhancing recruitment processes, optimizing systems, and delivering cross-functional initiatives that strengthen long-term TA capability.

 

This is a highly visible, client-facing role with significant impact on Alnylam’s ability to scale effectively and compete for top talent in a dynamic, competitive landscape.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities

 

  • Will support the design and lead the execution of strategic recruiting initiatives, including talent attraction campaigns.
  • Own end-to-end recruiting for roles across geographies and functions, acting as a strategic talent partner to leadership.
  • Coach and influence hiring leaders, using data and market insights to guide selection decisions and workforce planning.
  • Support key TA programs and projects, such as process optimization, recruitment technology implementation, employer branding, and proactive sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and share recruiting insights, trends, and benchmarks to improve decision-making and hiring outcomes.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives in collaboration with the wider HR organization, business clients and other stakeholders to elevate TA capabilities and the hiring manager experience.
  • Ensure compliance with global recruitment standards, legal regulations, and internal governance.

 

Qualifications

 

  • BS/BA degree required plus a minimum of 7+ years full cycle recruiting experience, with at least 2+ years of experience recruiting within biotech or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven experience supporting strategic recruiting programs or large-scale hiring efforts that delivered measurable business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with leaders to align talent strategies with business objectives.
  • Agency and life sciences experience preferred but not necessary.
  • Strong analytical mindset; able to use data to influence decisions and refine processes.
  • Skilled in employment branding, social media recruiting, and the effective use of recruiting technology (e.g., ATS, CRM, sourcing tools).
  • Excellent judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
