Job Summary:
The Senior Director, Business Lead – Spain will be responsible for leading all commercial activities for the ATTR franchise in Spain, including the upcoming Amvuttra indication launch. This role will oversee the Sales and Marketing teams and work cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and International Product Leads to tailor and execute the commercial strategy. The position is key to ensuring local alignment with global and regional objectives, while also supporting the development of talent and maintaining a strong team culture.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Spanish Commercial team (Sales and Marketing), including hiring, development, and performance management

Build and execute strategic and tactical commercial plans for Spain, aligned with global/regional direction and tailored to local market needs

Drive launch readiness and execution for Amvuttra’s new indication in Spain

Collaborate with Market Access on pricing, reimbursement, and stakeholder engagement

Provide country-level insights to regional/global teams to inform broader strategy

Ensure high-quality commercial forecasting, investment tracking, and KPI delivery

Maintain strong collaboration with Medical, Market Access, and Compliance functions

Champion compliance with internal policies and external regulations

Foster a positive, high-performing, and cohesive team culture
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business; advanced degree preferred

Significant experience in commercial roles within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- P&L responsibility with strong track record of successful budget management and an understanding of revenue forecasting, expense budget planning and tracking

Proven track record in leadership roles managing Sales and/or Marketing teams

Launch experience in specialty or rare disease areas

Strong knowledge of Spanish healthcare system and market dynamics

Fluent in Spanish and English

Proven experience working in matrixed, cross-functional environments
- Experience in market access strategy and execution
