Overview  

 

The Senior Manager Marketing will develop and execute marketing /communication tactics for the ATTR franchise in Germany. The Senior Manager Marketing will set targets and measure the tactics success of the delivered marketing tactics, by assessing business impact and collecting field team feedback about the materials and projects. The Senior Manager Marketing will ensure working closely with the commercial field teams to maximize adoption of the marketing deliverables and their adequation with the field needs. Any tactics will be delivered with the appropriate amount of inputs gathering, communication, training, and follow ups to maximize the field impact. 

 

In addition to the day-to-day operational tasks and leading projects, the Senior Manager Marketing will be also responsible for contributing to the strategic brand planning generation of market insights, cooperation with the International Team, adaptation of the international strategy to the German market, cross-functional alignment with Medical, Market Access and Regulatory and leading the execution of the local tactical plan.   

 

The successful candidate will report to the Associate Director, Marketing. The position is hybrid 2x days week in our Munich office. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Project management: Manage various marketing projects (omnichannel, congresses, meetings, materials…), tracking and ensuring progress in a structured and transparent manner facilitating leadership overview. Prepare educational material and concepts directed to physicians, patients and nurses. Demonstrate excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects and priorities.  

  • Tactical Execution: Implement marketing tactics and activities as directed by the Associate Director, ensuring timely and effective execution. 

  • Digital Marketing: Manage digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, and online advertising, to enhance brand visibility and engagement while maximizing ROI. 

  • Budget management: Contributes to managing annual promotional budget, conducting ROI assessments of tactical programs and ensures proper execution. 

  • External focus: Plan and organize external events with HCPs and nurses and coordinates congresses. Engage with KOLs in close alignment with Associate Director, Marketing and x-functional team. 

  • Data Analysis: Analyze marketing data to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement. 

  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and agencies to produce marketing materials and services, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines. 

  • Team support: Provide support for various marketing projects and initiatives, contributing to the overall success of the Marketing team. 

  • Brand planning: Contribute to the local strategic brand plan and financial forecasts in close cross-functional collaboration. Ensure flawless implementation of the German TTR Brand plan in line with the International TTR Brand plan and in cooperation with cross-functional stakeholders in the International region and in Germany / other countries as relevant (eg CH/AT). 

  • Insights generation: Leverage primary and secondary market research and competitor analytics critical to aligning brand strategy and optimizing marketing tactics. 

  • Compliance: Collaborate proactively with the Commercial Review Board (CRB) team including legal, regulatory, medical, and compliance stakeholders to ensure compliant development and execution of marketing initiatives. Foster regular exchange with the field force to continuously support execution in the field. 

  • Contribute to representing the German affiliate when participating at international team meetings.   

  • Acts as a backup for the Associate Director, Marketing or Sr Manager, Marketing in case of absence. 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • University degree in a related field or comparable educational background 

  • 5+ years’ experience, thereof minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry  

  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical product management and/or sales is required

  • Hands-on mentality and willingness to take responsibility for multiple operational topics 

  • Proven track record in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities 

  • Knowledge and experience in rare diseases and ideally cardiology 

  • Pronounced resilience, positive and solution focused thinking and acting 

  • Hands on mindset, structured, and analytical 

  • Organized with systematic approach to prioritization 

  • Sense of urgency, ethics, and responsibility  

  • Fluent in German and English 

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time locally and internationally
