Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Japan Insights and Analytics will be focused on preparing for the successful launch of Amvuttra for Cardiomyopathy by delivering actionable, data-driven insights and establishing a single source of truth for the affiliate. This role is central to ensuring that key business questions are addressed, KPIs are tracked effectively, and leadership has a clear view of customer impact and experiences during and after the launch.

Additionally, this role serves as a vital conduit between the Japan affiliate and the International Customer Experience & Innovation (CX&I) organization, ensuring Japan’s unique market dynamics and customer needs are represented and aligned to broader international strategies. The position requires exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, advanced analytics proficiency, and a strategic mindset to deliver measurable business impact. This position reports to Customer Experience & Innovation function based in the US supporting the Business Operations function based in Japan where the position reports to as well.

 


Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare for the Launch of Amvuttra for Cardiomyopathy

  • Establish a Single Source of Truth:
    • Collect and synthesize data and insights from diverse internal and external sources into a cohesive, accurate, and actionable view of the market.
    • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) critical to measuring launch success, including customer impact, market penetration, and sales performance.
    • Ensure insights inform real-time adjustments to launch strategies, maximizing impact and efficiency.
  • Address Key Business Questions:
    • Proactively identify and resolve critical business questions related to the launch, using data-driven insights and recommendations.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical, and market access, to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and execution plans.
  • Support Leadership Decision-Making:
    • Support the General Manager and the Japan Leadership Team by providing clear, actionable insights on launch performance and customer experience.
    • Partner with leadership to define a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and stakeholder needs.

2. Advance Insights Capabilities for Japan

  • Identify and partner with local and global agencies specializing in advanced analytics to enhance capabilities in patient identification and engagement.
  • Leverage advanced methodologies, including predictive modeling and segmentation, to identify patients awaiting diagnosis or early in treatment, enabling earlier intervention and better outcomes.
  • Ensure alignment with International advanced analytics, incorporating innovative tools and methodologies into Japan-specific strategies.

3. Represent Japan as a Strategic Conduit

  • Function as a liaison between Japan and the International CX&I organization to ensure that Japan’s unique market dynamics, customer insights, and regulatory landscape are represented in and aligned to international strategies.
  • Partner with the Internation CX&I organization with limited familiarity with Japan to align on priorities and methodologies that reflect Japan’s market-specific needs.
  • Share local insights and learnings with international stakeholders to drive alignment and ensure knowledge transfer.

4. Analyze and Apply Digital Engagement Metrics

  • Collaborate with digital marketing teams to derive insights from digital activity and engagement metrics.
  • Use digital analytics to optimize customer engagement strategies, measure campaign effectiveness, and enhance the affiliate’s overall digital impact.

5. Foster Operational Excellence

  • Partner with International CX&I to implement and maintain standardized tools, processes, and methodologies to ensure consistency and scalability of insights across functions and geographies.
  • Collaborate with International CX&I and global commercial data teams to uphold data governance standards and ensure the reliability and accuracy of analytics.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of insights on business outcomes, refining approaches as needed to maximize value.

 

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Launch Expertise: Proven experience in preparing for and executing product launches, with a strong ability to track KPIs and assess performance.
  • Data Integration and Analysis: Exceptional skill in synthesizing diverse data sources into cohesive insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Japan-Specific Expertise: Deep understanding of Japan’s healthcare system, customer behaviors, and regulatory environment, with the ability to generate locally relevant insights.
  • Advanced Analytics Proficiency: Foundational knowledge of advanced analytics, with the ability to partner effectively with agencies and global data science teams to implement innovative solutions.
  • Strategic Thinking and Communication: Ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
  • Cross-Regional Collaboration: Proven ability to influence and collaborate with global teams, particularly those less familiar with Japan’s market.
  • Digital Insights Application: Experience in analyzing and applying digital engagement metrics to enhance customer strategies.
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in English and Japanese.
