Overview

 

As Alnylam continues to scale across international markets, strong omnichannel execution is critical to delivering consistent, high‑quality customer experiences. The Associate Director, Omnichannel Operations (International) provides regional operational leadership for omnichannel execution across international markets.

 

This role is accountable for delivery outcomes, ensuring omnichannel initiatives are translated from global strategy into coordinated, compliant, and scalable execution in market. Acting as a key connector between country teams, regional stakeholders, external partners, and global colleagues based in Alnylam’s U.S. headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts, this role shapes how omnichannel work is delivered across markets.

 

While strategy and platforms are defined globally, this role plays a critical leadership role in setting operational standards, improving ways of working, and driving continuous improvement—balancing global consistency with local market needs.

 

The is a hyrbid role requiring 2 days week based in our Zug office.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Regional Omnichannel Operations Leadership

  • Provide regional operational leadership for omnichannel execution across international markets, with accountability for delivery outcomes, execution quality, and predictability 
  • Lead intake, prioritization, and coordination of omnichannel initiatives across countries, balancing global expectations with local needs
  • Proactively manage complex dependencies across content, data, platforms, approvals, and partners

 

Market‑Facing Omnichannel Delivery

  • Ensure coordinated omnichannel execution across owned digital channels, paid digital channels, and field‑enabled interactions
  • Drive sequencing and orchestration to reduce fragmentation across channels, teams, and partners 
  • Establish and reinforce consistent execution quality standards across markets, including content accuracy, user experience, accessibility, and compliance 

 

Product‑Minded Delivery & Continuous Improvement

  • Apply a product delivery mindset focused on repeatability, scalability, and clarity of outcomes
  • Define and reinforce standards for effective omnichannel delivery, including readiness criteria and ways of working 
  • Identify systemic execution challenges and translate them into operational improvements, guidance, or process changes 

 

Governance, Quality & Compliance

  • Establish and reinforce operational governance for omnichannel delivery across Europe, including QA standards and escalation paths 
  • Ensure compliant execution across European regulatory, privacy, consent, and accessibility requirements

 

Internal & External Partner Leadership

  • Serve as the primary regional operational lead for external partners and agencies supporting omnichannel execution in Europe 
  • Set clear expectations for partner delivery timelines, quality standards, and ways of working 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related technical or systems-oriented discipline.
  • Advanced degree a plus, but practical technical experience and execution capability are more important than formal credentials.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in omnichannel, digital marketing, or marketing operations roles, ideally with responsibility across multiple international markets.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering omnichannel execution across owned, paid, and field-enabled channels.
  • Strong working knowledge of omnichannel platforms and workflows, including CRM, marketing automation, CMS, DAM, and analytics.
  • Experience operating within regulated environments, with a strong understanding of European privacy, consent, and compliance requirements, including GDPR.
  • Proven experience managing agencies and external partners, including setting standards, overseeing execution quality, and improving efficiency.
  • Experience working in global, matrixed organizations and partnering effectively with both regional and global stakeholders.
  • Background in consumer packaged goods, consumer technology, or other consumer-facing industries preferred, but not required. Experience in pharma or biotech is a plus.
  • Fluent English required; additional European languages a plus.
