Role Overview

We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Commercial Training Lead to strengthen the capabilities of our international commercial field teams. In this pivotal role, you will design, deliver, and evaluate innovative training programmes that enhance performance, align with global objectives, and embed a culture of continuous learning. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners in Commercial, Medical, Compliance, and Marketing across diverse international markets to ensure consistent, high-quality training experiences that drive impact and excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Training Strategy & Execution

  • Deliver engaging, innovative training content in collaboration with markets.
  • Drive onboarding and induction programs for field teams, including e-learning and face-to-face (F2F) modules, with regular knowledge and skills certifications.
  • Ensure consistent product, process, and compliance training across all international markets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Medical to align training needs with brand launches & strategy rollouts.
  • Partner with Sales Leaders to embed the ACE framework and drive field force excellence.
  • Measure training effectiveness and ROI, using insights to inform future initiatives.
  • Identify market-specific training needs and deliver tailored, impactful solutions.
  • Manage external vendors to ensure timely, high-quality training delivery.
  • Oversee the development, approval, and deployment of training materials using internal systems (e.g., Veeva PromoMats).

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Integrate sales operations insights into regional commercial and medical strategies.
  • Lead feedback forums to drive continuous improvement and field engagement.
  • Ensure all training programs meet internal standards and compliance requirements.
  • Co-create a long-term training roadmap with key stakeholders across functions.
  • Support training budget planning and resource allocation with Business Operations.
  • Provide strategic input on content development to enhance learning impact.
  • Champion digital learning innovation to support ongoing development and scalability.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a successful Key Account Manager in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong foundation in adult learning principles and learning design methodologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in performance and in-field coaching.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; strong academic and scientific background.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs, including digital content.
  • Skilled in managing vendors and leading Initial Training Programmes (ITP’s).
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership to drive commercial success.
  • Deep understanding of therapeutic areas and a passion for learning and development.
  • Fluent in English additional language preferred: German or French.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); digital content and SEO knowledge is a bonus.
  • Role requires 30-40% travel within European countries.
