Overview

We are currently seeking a Marketing Lead for Switzerland and Austria to join our dynamic team on a fixed-term maternity cover (12 months). This is a key strategic and operational role responsible for shaping and executing brand and tactical marketing plans for one of Alnylam’s products in the amyloidosis therapeutic area.

 

Based in Zug, Switzerland, with collaboration across Austria, this position offers a hybrid work model and occasional travel within the region.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Implement local strategic brand and tactical plans for Austria and Switzerland, focused on an Alnylam product in ATTR Amyloidosis with a label extension (from Neurology to Cardiology).
  • Lead the execution of marketing activities, including creation and localization of materials (English, German, French), omnichannel projects, and management of assets in Veeva Promomats.
  • Manage account plans in line with country strategy in partnership with Commercial and Medical Affairs team.
  • Organize and oversee congresses, events, and promotional activities, ensuring compliance and effective post-event documentation.
  • Represent Alnylam at national congresses and events as needed.
  • Support contract creation and management for marketing and events.
  • Collaborate closely with regional Product Leads and cross-functional teams to ensure market insights inform strategy and tactics.
  • Track and analyze KPIs to ensure effective execution of key tactics and early course correction.
  • Provide input to local market access and medical activities.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted to the highest ethical standards and in accordance with local laws and regulations.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Proven experience in brand management and marketing within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Experience in cardiology marketing is a plus.
  • Experience in organizing and managing events and congresses.
  • Strong knowledge of specialty care commercialization, particularly in the rare disease space in Switzerland and Austria.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and digital marketing tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously.
  • Willingness for travel in Switzerland and international travel (including Austria) on limited basis.
  • Bachelor / Master University education is desired.
  • Fluency in German and English is required; French is a plus.
  • Experience in key account management and sales is a plus.
  • University education in science or genetics is an advantage.
